The government has introduced new measures to support children with SEND:
EY SEND Funding Panel
SEND Funding for the Spring term 23 is now closed
All local authorities are required to establish a SEND inclusion fund for 2, 3 and 4-year-olds with SEND whose parents or carers are taking up the free entitlement. The purpose of the fund is to support local authorities to work with providers to address the needs of individual children.
Disability Access Fund for 3 and 4-year-olds
The Disability Access Fund (DAF) is available to support children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in their childcare setting. Childcare providers can receive £800 per year for every child who meets the eligibility criteria.
