Educational Psychologists are involved in promoting the learning and healthy development of all children and young people. They work with teachers, parents, carers and other professionals to help bring about positive change for children and to improve their life outcomes.

Educational Psychologists work with children and young people between the ages of 0 and 25 years who are Islington residents or who attend Islington schools.

We work in a range of educational settings including children’s centres, nurseries, mainstream primary and secondary schools, special schools and units, sixth form centres and further education colleges.

Educational Psychologists are highly skilled in supporting schools in identifying and assessing children with additional needs, and in supporting schools and the local authority in thinking about how those needs can be met.

All Educational Psychologists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) which ensures a high standard of competence and practice.

The Educational Psychology Service has consistently been rated as providing a high quality service.
