Welcome children, parents and carers!

Here you will find educational resources and links to help you continue to learn new things and revisit things that you have already learnt whilst you're away from school.

The information here is brought to you by Islington's School Improvement Service and other teams from Islington Council. These services support Islington's schools across a range of subjects and we have pulled together some resources for you to use whilst you're at home.

Reception to Year Six

We will provide resources for Reception Class and Years one to six. Each week we will be creating a home learning newsletter with ideas and activities for children in KS1 and KS2. Don't miss out - subscribe now.

Bright Start, Bright Ideas

If you have a child under five, you might also be interested in 'Bright Start Bright Ideas' which is sent four-times-a-week and is full of fun ideas and advice about home learning for younger children – subscribe here

Secondary School Resources

All Islington Secondary schools have set lots of work for your child’s home learning. Please also check with your child’s school plus any learning platforms the school may use for setting homework. If your child is unable to work online please contact their school - schools may be able to help with ways of getting on line and with home learning packs.

We hope you find the resources useful, and more importantly, have fun using them!

Managing screen time

Remember that its important to strike a balance between time spent online on a computer, tablet or a mobile phone and participating in other activities. So think about some other things you could be doing throughout the day. These might include:

  • reading a book
  • playing a game
  • solving a puzzle
  • completing a jigsaw
  • cooking
  • drawing, colouring, painting or weaving
  • resting
