You can access Islington Safeguarding Childrens Board (ISCB) training via the CS ISCB Training hub. The Early Years and Childcare service also provides Early Years safeguarding training.
Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) Training
The DSL should be part of the senior leadership team and needs to attend the Group 5 ISCB DSL roles and responsibility course. The course provides an overview of the role and responsibilities of named/designated child protection officers.
DSLs will need to attend the ISCB Safeguarding and Information Sharing Foundation (Group 2) or a recent ISCB Safeguarding and Child Protection Refresher/Update (Group 2-5) before applying for a DSL course. This is to ensure that DSLs attend multi agency training so they are up-to-date with current legislation, local policy and procedures.
Book safeguarding training with the ISCB from the Islington Safeguarding Training channel.
Islington Early Years Safeguarding Training
The Early Years and Childcare Team also organise safeguarding training, including training in your setting and Safeguarding and Child Protection Refresher/Update (Group 2-5)
