Families for Life is free programme that provides a good opportunity for schools to extend their work with families, supporting them with healthy lifestyles, cooking healthy meals, learning about healthy eating and playing active games.
Families for Life programmes:

  • Early years (2 – 4yrs), Primary (5- 11 Yrs)
  • Family Kitchen (2 – 11yrs)
  • Parent Only sessions

Families for Life programmes are also delivered in community settings during term time and in the holidays.

School Food Standards

Statutory school food standards cover all food served regularly between 8am and 6pm. Support with auditing the service as well as suggestions for suitable suggestions.

Farm Direct

Primary

 

Farm Direct provides workshops or assembly for primary school children explaining where food comes from, healthy eating. There will also be opportunities to taste food. Email: info@farm-direct.com.

This is Rubbish

Edible Education is an experiential programme run by anti food-waste organisation This is Rubbish.
As well as the School Feast Learning Journeys, This is Rubbish can design and deliver a bespoke programme to compliment a theme a school is working on, as a stand-alone 'off time table day' or specifically to engage parents or feeder schools through a community event.
