Comprehensive HR & Payroll service covers the following:

Day to day HR

  • Unlimited support on day to day HR matters including issuing of contractual letters, contracts, variation and offer letters
  • Advise on all necessary pre-employment checks that should be carried out to promote the safeguarding of children
  • Advising on sickness absence, maternity, paternity, adoption and related absence management issues
  • Undertaking of the recruitment process on schools’ behalf including template advert, pack and all response handling (at extra cost)

Comprehensive Payroll service

  • Processing of all new starter and leaver information, making adjustments for contractual and statutory requirements
  • Provision of the Teachers’ Annual Service Return and ad hoc pension administration (at extra cost for schools not purchasing ASP)
  • Provision of regular pre-payroll, BACs and final payroll reports, including monthly sickness absence reports to help schools manage staff absence
  • A range of payroll reports available to ensure accuracy of payroll

Employee relations

  • Provision of regular guidance on Conditions of Service, Employment Law and briefings
  • Providing expert advice and support on disciplinary, capability, performance and sickness matters [In exceptional cases where case work is significantly high additional costs may be charged.]
  • Guidance on change management including restructuring, redundancy, TUPE and retirement
  • Support in providing approaches to implementing Teacher Performance Appraisal and Performance Related Pay
  • Negotiation with trade unions on school’s behalf
  • Provision of a full set of up to date model policies for schools to adopt
  • Guidance on the specifics of Teachers’ pay and reward mechanisms for all staff
  • Providing expert guidance on Safer Recruitment practices
  • Bespoke training on the full range of HR associated issues such as disciplinary, absence management, customer care etc
  • Additional support for governors on the full range of HR issues
